The upload speeds on this router are about average when compared to other routers, but since you are getting this one at such as reasonable price, you know there will be some concessions.
Some of the numbers that you see listed in the product description of a router might not make a lot of sense to you, but they do matter. The standards are set to help regulate internet speeds. The original was 802.11a which has since somewhat evolved.
The different standards can operate on different channels. So 802.11ac can operate in the less crowded 5GHz, which will prevent any online interference. Ultimately, as long as you are aiming for a router that has dual-band or tri-band, you shouldn’t need to know the standard that you are using in order to use it.
